The contest is being headed by actress and singer Sarah Harding, alongside TV presenter and DJ Reggie Yates, both of whom are enthusiastic photographers.
There are five categories – Celebrations, Summer Holidays, Friends and Family, Great British Culture, Great British Outdoors
The best images will be shortlisted and will feature in an exhibition, which will be open to the public in September. One winner from each category will take home a Pentax K-30 camera, which has a body-only price of £599.99, and one overall winner will take home £1,000.
The competition is open for entries until 3 September 2012 and images can be submitted via the Meet Britain app on the PENTAX UK Facebook page.
