Winners of the British Heart Foundation?s Red for Heart Photography competition have been announced.
Photographers were tasked with entering images where the colour red was included in the image.
The photos did not have to feature hearts but show ?what heart meant to the photographer?.
Triumphing in the Adult category was Gillian Hayes for her image ?Service Tunnel?, while
Matthew Town came top in the Student section with ?The Stage?.
Amateur Photographer Editor Damien Demolder, who was one of the judges, said: ?The quality of the images was astonishingly high. Entrants put a lot of thought, care and effort into the photographs. We were overwhelmed with potential winners in both categories.?
The contest attracted more than 800 images.
