A top prize of £10,000 is up for grabs to the winner of this year?s Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition which accepts online entries from Wednesday 24 January.

Organised by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine the contest is open to enthusiasts and professionals worldwide and carries a total prize fund of £22,550.

Categories include Animal Behaviour, Wild Places and Garden Wildlife.

The closing date of 23 March 2007.

The best images are due to feature in a touring exhibition which kicks off at the Natural History Museum in London in October.
