A trip to California can be won in a Canon competition for photography enthusiasts in the UK and Ireland.
The top prize is a trip to Napa Valley, California, where the winner will be treated to a balloon ride over the famous vineyards.
Called ?I Spy with my Digital Eye? the contest is being run by stores which have a Canon Digital Centre. Each store will choose a letter of the alphabet and display it in-store. Participants are then asked to take pictures following a theme which begins with that letter. For example, if it is ?A? the theme could be ?apples?.
?The idea is to get creative with photography and take the best possible shot,? said a Canon spokesman.
There are three categories: 16-18; over-18; and over-18 photographers in colleges and camera clubs. Winners will be given a ride in a hot-air balloon and the best overall winner will be entered into a national competition for the trip to Napa Valley.
