A digital camera that can ?refocus? images after they have been taken is being developed by scientists in America, reports New Scientist magazine.
Scientists at Stanford University claim they have worked out a way to adjust light rays after they have reached the camera, reports the magazine?s Celeste Biever.
A sheet containing thousands of microlenses is specially inserted between the camera?s main lens and image sensor and software used to adjust the amount of light and angle of light rays reaching the camera. Scientists say the software is able to ?reconstruct? what the image would have looked like if it had been properly focused.
