Among the 15 scene modes is a ?cosmetic? function designed to enhance the subject?s skin tone.
Settings also include ?face chaser? and ?fireworks?.
The silver-coloured newcomer carries a 5x zoom, claimed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle of a 36-180mm lens, plus a top equivalent ISO sensitivity of 3200.
There are three metering modes, in addition to exposure compensation of ±1.8EV in 0.3EV steps.
Powered by a rechargeable battery, and sporting a 2.5in monitor, the R50 is compatible with SD (and SDHC) memory card storage.
It records images in JPEG format and includes a movie function.
The camera?s maximum shutter speed in 1/2000sec.
