The Metropolitan Police will next week sell off a massive collection of film cameras and other equipment it has used over the years to document crime scenes.

Hundreds of items are up for grabs including cameras, lenses, light meters and compact cameras.

Auctioneers expect the forensic camera equipment to rake in up to £6,000.

The lots include, for example, two Pentax 67 cameras (with lenses) valued at £100-150 for both, and a Nikon F4 camera, with an MB-21 motor drive, which is expected to fetch £120-180.

Also for sale will be enlargers, such as a Leitz model valued at £50-80.

A case of Bronica accessories includes extension tubes, tele-converters, lens and body caps (£50-80).
