Bob Pickles of Canon UK said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting the British Red Cross with this photography competition for a second year running.

‘Canon Europe has been sponsoring the Humanitarian Citizen Awards since 2005 and we are delighted to mark ten years of working with the British Red Cross.’

He added: ‘It’s extremely exciting to see how this competition will encourage budding photographers to explore how images can help tell truly inspirational stories from their own communities.’
