Renowned photographers Martin Parr, Charlie Waite and Eamonn McCabe have joined forces to help judge a competition that aims to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

Open to amateur and professional photographers, the Renaissance photography competition features a top prize of £3,000.

The 60 chosen finalists will get a chance to showcase and sell their work at an exhibition to be held in March next year.

The categories are Emotions, the Human body and the World We Live In.

It costs £15 to enter a single image and £25 for up to four images.

Proceeds will go to the Lavendar Trust.

The closing date is 11 January 2009.
