One of the most extensive collections of Leica cameras to ever appear at auction ? said to span the entire history of Leica ? is to go on sale at Christie?s in London next month.
The Collection of John Patrick Duigenan is expected to fetch more than £100,000 when it goes under the hammer at Christie?s, South Kensington on 4 July.
The lots include a model I Leica from 1925 (pictured), alongside more recent models such as the Leica M6.
The gems also include a rare Stereo Elmar lens expected to rake in up to £12,000 and cameras made for the German Luftwaffe which carry estimates starting at £800.
