Legendary war photographer Don McCullin last night received the Centenary Medal from the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) at an awards ceremony in central London.
Paying tribute to McCullin, 72, the society said: ?This coveted award reminds us of his internationally renowned photojournalism and the substantial contribution he has made within the field.?
The RPS announced the upcoming honour earlier this year.
The presentations took place at the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Among those to receive an Honorary Fellowship was photographer Barry Lategan who – never without a camera ? decided to take a picture of the audience as he collected his accolade.
