More widespread inclusion of High Definition (HD) movie capability in DSLRs has led to stills cameras being lined up for their first ever appearance at a UK ‘video’ technology exhibition.
A spokesman for the event, which takes place at Earls Court in London next month, told Amateur Photographer: ‘Broadcast Video Expo 2010? has been running for 15 years without a single stills camera on the show floor. The advent of HD video changes all that? The DSLR has arrived in the video and film production community with a bang and made an impact that it could never have dreamt of?’
The event will include the chance to take action shots in various lighting conditions as part of a ‘DSLR Focus Feature’. There will also be, for example, a DSLR Cinematography Workshop and a Beginner’s Guide to Video DSLR.
The show takes place at Earls Court from 16-18 February.
Seminars will be free on a ‘first-come-first-served basis’, say organisers.
