More than 32,000 people visited the Focus on Imaging four-day trade show in Birmingham in February ? up 3,700 on the previous year, claim organisers.

Claimed to be a new record the figure represents an increase of more than 50% on the figure in 2001 when the visitor numbers passed 20,000 for the first time.

Ilford Photo reported more students attending this year?s event – 200 on the last day of the show.

There were more than 200 exhibitors attending the 2007 show.
