This year?s Focus on Imaging show in Birmingham pulled in 37,684 visitors ? 90 more than the previous year ? setting a new record for the annual event.

The annual event gave many photographers the first chance to see the newly unveiled Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Nikon D800 DSLRs.

Last year, Canon did not exhibit at Focus.

?However, in some ways the show was stolen by new niche cameras from Olympus and Fujifilm,? said a Focus 2012 spokesman.

?The Olympus OM-D and Fujifilm X-Pro1 attracted a huge amount of attention ? again both being seen first at Focus 2012.

Next year?s show will take place from 3-6 March, it has been confirmed.
