A French photographer has been killed in Syria, according to news reports.

Rémi Ochlik died along with American Sunday Times reporter Marie Colvin, according to BBC News and other sources.

The pair died when a building they were in came under attack in the city of Homs.

Rémi, who was born in 1983, began his career at the Wostok photography agency.

His images have been widely published, including in The Wall Street Journal and Paris Match.
