Google is set to add overhead views to its Street View application by using unmanned flying machines to capture aerial images, according to reports.

German drone maker Microdrones claims it has already supplied a camera-equipped ?mini drone? to Google, according to German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
Under UK law, photographers using a camera attached to an unmanned aircraft must apply for a licence which can be purchased from the Civil Aviation Authority. This is because of possible surveillance and public protection issues.
Users are required to follow basic rules and regulations laid down by the CAA.
These include general safety, carrying out basic risk assessments, maintaining flight logs and files and keeping a general safe distance from the general public.
Google UK had yet to comment at the time of writing.
