Jessops confirms fresh job losses

Jessops has confirmed that it plans to cut more jobs over the summer.

A spokeswoman told Amateur Photographer this lunchtime: ‘These are in addition to the ones already announced [earlier this year].

‘The process started on 11 May and will be completed by the end of July. Because this process is ongoing we are unable to give a figure of how many this will be.’

Bosses plan to replace some full-time staff with part-time workers.

Jessops claims that its stores will be ‘fully staffed at peak trading periods’.
