Jessops has added 20 more stores to its portfolio by snapping up MacKinnons of Dyce Limited, a company with 19 shops in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland.
The move brings Jessops? total number of shops to 313 and doubles its presence in Scotland where it now has 35 stores.
All 104 staff at MacKinnons ? which trades as Photo Factory – will be transferred to Jessops.
Jessops recently announced a 6.8% sales increase for the 25 weeks to 24 September but admitted that like-for-like sales have been hit by lower than expected sales figures for cameras and d&p over the past two months.
Digital SLR sales were up 71% in value, while total camera sales increased by 19%.
