Kodak has dismissed a newspaper report that it is considering selling off its film business as ?rumour and speculation?.
A report in yesterday?s Times claimed that the sale of the film business could raise £664m for the company.
The article reports Kodak?s chief executive Antonio Perez as saying that the traditional film business has ?just a decade of growth ahead of it?.
In an interview with AP?s news editor Chris Cheesman, Kodak’s European chief Jaime Cohen-Szulc said that the life of film was ?tough to predict?.
He added: ?Consumer film is declining. It is going to continue to decline but there is still a market there.?
Cohen-Szulc told us that film will be around for some time for use in the Hollywood movie industry.
