Do so and you’ll be in with a great chance to win £500-worth of camera equipment and a one-year subscription to AP, along with BT Total Broadband free for a year.

You can submit up to six pictures that sum up the nation’s joy and excitement, or otherwise, of the Olympics and Paralympics.

The images can have been taken anywhere and of anything – street celebrations or BBQs, fans in pubs or picnics or parties in parks, the Olympic torch on its 8000-mile journey around the UK, the Paralympics or even the Cultural Olympiad.

To get some inspiration, take a look at some of the pictures AP readers entered earlier this year. You can view these HERE

Usually it costs £10 to enter the Picture Editors’ Guild Awards, of which this competition is a part, but AP readers can enter for free by using the code ‘amphone’ when submitting their entry HERE

One of the Picture Editors’ Guild Award judges for the Amateur category, Damien Demolder, Editor of Amateur Photographer says: ‘This is a great opportunity to do something with those images taken over the Olympic season’.
