Nikon UK has confirmed that its recently announced 35mm f/1.8G lens – due to land on the high street on 6 March – will escape the price rises announced earlier today.
A Nikon UK spokeswoman said that the price of the DX-format lens will remain at £199.99, as stated when it was announced earlier this month.
The lens is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 50mm lens and is billed as ideal for ‘discrete snapshots’, as well as landscape photos.
As reported earlier, Nikon has not made clear which products will be hit by the fresh price increases which take effect on 1 March.
However, we know that no Coolpix digital compact cameras will be affected.
