Leica is on a high after group sales shot up 57.3% over the past year, largely boosted by demand for the firm?s M and S camera systems.
Leica Camera AG?s net income increased ten-fold, from ?3.2 million last year to ?30.4m in the 12 months to 31 March 2011.
In a statement, Leica?s German HQ said: ?The positive development is mainly due to the continuing strong demand for the Leica M system, the professional S system, the compact cameras and the Leica sport optics products.?
The good news means Leica shareholders stand to receive a total dividend payout of around ?5m.
