The Metropolitan Police this morning said that investigations continue following an allegation that jewellery worth more than £250,000 was stolen after a photoshoot involving US actress Lindsay Lohan.
The missing jewellery – made by Dior and said to include a ‘diamond’ necklace – went missing following a photoshoot for Elle magazine in Islington.
The jewellery is understood to have been on loan to the magazine.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police today told Amateur Photographer (AP): ‘Enquiries continue. There have been no arrests.’
Lohan’s representative yesterday told reporters that Lohan was not being questioned personally and pointed out that there were around 20 people at the shoot.
In a statement released yesterday – subsequently confirmed to AP – the Met said: ‘ Officers from Westminster police are investigating an allegation of theft of jewellery from studios in Brewery Road, Islington.
‘The theft was reported to a central London police station on 8 June after earrings and a necklace, believed to be diamond and estimated to be worth in the region of £250,000, were found to be missing?’
