Legendary Magnum photographer Martin Parr says he was almost arrested on a Brazilian beach when a father took exception to an image that included one of his children in the shot.
?The beach of Copacabana would be a delight to photograph on if you could walk around with an invisible camera,? said Parr who is on a tour of South American beach resorts.
Writing in Magnum Photos? new internet forum, Magnum Blog, Parr added: ?If you have a biggish camera you have to watch every step. I was nearly arrested because a father took exception to the fact that one of his children was in the background of a shot I had taken.?
Parr said he has encountered no such problem on beaches in Chile where he travelled to following his trip to the Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro.
