Mamiya has revamped its 645 AFD medium format camera to launch the 645 AFDII – boasting improvements such as faster focusing and 36 custom settings.

Like its predecessor, the 645 AFDII shoots 6×4.5cm images and can accept 120 and 220 rollfilms. It can also be used with a digital back.

Differences over the 645 AFD include aperture and shutter speed adjustment in 1/3 or 1/2 steps and an electronically activated mirror-up button.

Features also include two or three frame autobracketing and exposure compensation of plus or minus 3 or 5EV (in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or one EV steps).

Out next month the 645 AFDII will cost around £2200 body only or around £3000 for a kit that includes an 80mm lens.
