One of Quinton-Tulloch’s key tasks will be to work with the
Science Museum and NMM on the £4m Media Space gallery which is due to open in
London next spring.

Quinton-Tulloch, who brings 18 years worth of experience working in museums,
will take up her position as Head of Museum in September.

She said: ‘I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work
with such a significant collection and build on the existing programme to
further establish the National Media Museum as an important cultural
destination, locally and nationally.’

Her priority will be to ensure ‘optimum public access to
the National Collections held and cared for in Bradford’, said the NMM in a
statement.

The NMM’s former chief Colin Philpott stepped down as
director following a management shake-up last year.

The Science Museum has yet to announce who will replace Quinton-Tulloch as head of exhibitions.
