Panasonic has today unveiled 10 new Lumix cameras including the 7.2-million-pixel DMC-FZ8 boasting an 18x ?extra optical? zoom and raw format mode.

The six other models in the 7.2MP category include the DMC-TZ3, featuring a 3in LCD screen and up to 15x zoom power; the DMC-FX30 sporting a 28mm ?wide-angle? lens and an ?ultra-slim? body; and the DMC-LS75 which is claimed to feature a ?longer battery life?. Also making their debut are the 7.2MP DMC-FX12; DMC-LZ6; and DMC-LZ7.

Panasonic has also unwrapped a trio of 6MP models in the shape of the DMC-FX10; DMC-LS60 and DMC-TZ2.

All the new models feature Panasonic?s Mega O.I.S image stabilisation technology which is designed to reduce camera shake.

All the new models are due out in March apart from the TZ3 and TZ2 which are due in UK shops in April.

Full details, including prices and specification, were not available at the time of going to press.

The new models were unveiled at a European press conference in Paris.
