Two new Voigtländer lenses for Nikon and Pentax digital SLRs are poised for their UK debut.
?The Nikon-mount 40mm f/2 ULTRON SL-II Aspherical will be available in mid-November, with a Pentax KA-mount version to following soon after,? confirmed a spokesman for UK importer Robert White Photographic Limited.
The NOKTON 58mm f/1.4 SL-II is due to be available in the UK from mid-December.
Again, the Nikon-fit (AIS) lens will be available first, with the Pentax KA version to follow, according Robert White.
The ULTRON is described as a pancake-type lens with a magnification ratio of 1:4.
The NOKTON is understood to be an ideal portraiture lens, designed to deliver a 35mm viewing angle equivalent of around 85mm when used on a DSLR with an APS-C-size sensor.
It focuses down to 0.45m and produces a 1:5.8 magnification, according to Japanese trade newsletter Pen News Weekly.
The lenses will cost around £240.
