A human rights body has today called for the immediate release of UK-based photographer Anton Hammerl who was seized by Libyan authorities nearly a fortnight ago.

?Libyan and foreign journalists are facing unlawful restrictions from the government, including incommunicado detention in Tripoli,? said Human Rights Watch emergencies director Peter Bouckaert.

?If the government has nothing to hide, then it should let the media do its work.?

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera has reported that Libyan officials have released one of its cameraman.

Another cameraman from the TV station, who holds UK citizenship, remains in custody, however.
