SanDisk has announced ?limited edition? CompactFlash and SD memory cards named after the Italian motorcycle maker Ducati. Also revealed is a Ducati-themed USB flash drive (pictured).

The SanDisk Extreme Ducati Edition CompactFlash will be available in 4GB and 8GB storage capacities, while the SanDisk Extreme Ducati Edition SD Plus card comes in 4GB capacity. The latter features a ?snap-open? connector designed to allow the card to be plugged directly into the USB port of computer, without the need for a cable or card reader.

The CompactFlash card boasts a speed of 45 megabytes per second (20MB/sec for the SD Plus card).

Also announced is the SanDisk Extreme Ducati Edition USB Flash Drive, a 4GB device sporting a glossy red chassis and black trim and shaped like the back of a Ducati motorcycle.

The kit is expected to hit UK stores sometime in August, at prices yet to be confirmed.
