Optical filter maker Tiffen has made its digital filter software available as a free trial download.
The fully-featured version of Tiffen Dfx gives photographers access to up to ?1,000 filters?, including ?virtually the full range of Tiffen glass effects filters,? says the firm.
The boxed, stand-alone ?Select? edition costs £66.99, while the ?Complete? plug-in for Adobe Photoshop edition costs £198.99.
Photographic filter effects include Neutral Density Grads, Polariser and ?Ultra Contrast? ? the latter controlling shadow detail in bright conditions, for example.
?Tiffen Dfx allows for an almost infinite range of precision adjustments within each effect which would not be feasible with the glass equivalent,? explained a spokesman.
Tiffen Dfx is compatible with the latest versions of Mac OSX, Windows XP and Vista.
