UK consumers snapped up nearly 10% more interchangeable lens digital compact cameras in March than they did the month before, latest figures show.

Volume sales of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras reached 3,180 – a 9.3% rise on figures for February.

This generated £1,647,212 in sales revenue.

The total number of interchangeable lens cameras sold in March ? including DSLRs – fell 8.7% in the UK compared with the same month last year.

However, the market was worth, in total, £20,393,648 in March 2010 ? an 8.1% growth in sales value terms.
