A higher percentage of consumers will buy digital photo frames in the UK than in France, Germany or Russia, according to research released today.

?By 2011 we expect household penetration to reach 14% across Western Europe as a whole, with the UK and France leading the charge at 29% and 23% respectively,? states Futuresource Consulting which conducted the survey.

The results were drawn from answers given by more than 600 consumers.

The sitting room was voted the favourite place in the home to display a digital photo frame, in all countries except Russia where the bedroom was apparently the favoured location.

Futuresource Consulting added: ?In 2007 the Western European digital photo frame market exploded, reaching 3.8 million units. That?s up from just 0.6m the year before with Western Europe representing approximately 30% of global volumes.?
