The RSPCA Young Photographer Awards 2011 has opened for entries and this year features two new categories.

The 2011 competition includes a category designed to ?best illustrate how animals make people?s lives better? and one called Garden Wildlife.

The overall winner will bag a three-day photography break with wildlife photographer Danny Green.

Category prizes include Olympus camera gear.

Last year?s winner was Catriona Parfitt, 17, who took top prize with an image entitled ‘Gull lookout’, which she captured while on a family holiday to Spitsbergen.

This year?s judges include wildlife filmmaker and TV presenter Simon King OBE, and Amateur Photographer‘s deputy features editor Gemma Padley.
