A Yorkshire camera club has appealed for young members with fresh ideas to ?shake? up the group and create a new ?photography movement? in the region.

?Art is about new ideas and that?s what the young have,? said Hebden Bridge Camera Club vice-president Alan Greenwood in a report published in yesterday?s Halifax Evening Courier.

The club is on the look out for ?teenagers with radical ideas?, adds the newspaper article.

?There?s plenty for them to learn from us and plenty for us to learn from them,? explained club President Margaret Beaumont.

The club hopes to serve as a forum, offering advice for youngsters who are keen to pursue a career in photography.

Founded in 1953, Hebden Bridge Camera Club meets every Wednesday at the Masonic Hall, Hangingroyd Lane, Hebden Bridge (from September to April).

It is staging an exhibition at The Arts Festival Shop, Albert Street, Hebden Bridge until Saturday (open 11am-4.30pm).

The club can be contacted on 01422 885244 or email alanglenice.greenwood@btinternet.com
