Pentax Ricoh Imaging president Noboru Akahane reportedly told the Asahi Shimbun<\/a> newspaper that Pentax will focus solely on interchangeable-lens cameras, while future compacts will adopt the Ricoh name.<\/p>\n

Responding to the report<\/a>, Pentax Ricoh Imaging UK’s product co-ordinator Stephen Sanderson told Amateur Photographer<\/em>: \u2018The article is part of a wider interview where many issues were discussed.<\/p>\n
