Hundreds of street photographs are being sold to raise money for PhotoVoice, a charity that aims to highlight social issues through photography projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thirty street photographers have donated limited-edition prints for an online auction<\/a> that runs until 25 April.<\/p>\n

Among those taking part is photographer Nick Turpin who said: ?The whole street photography community seems to have got behind this initiative and the quality of work available is staggering.?<\/p>\n

PhotoVoice director Kevin McCullough added: ?We?ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of the street photography community. <\/p>\n

?They really recognise the importance of the work we do, giving marginalised people ? who have typically just been the subject of photographs ? the opportunity to represent themselves through the images they create.?<\/p>\n

The charity, which was set up in 1999, said in a statement: ?Street photography has been enjoying an extraordinary renaissance in the past few years with a raft of dedicated publications, festivals, magazines and exhibitions.? <\/p>\n

More than 350 images from the Street Collection cost \u00a3100.<\/p>\n
