Amateur Photographer<\/em> (AP) Editor Damien Demolder will be giving a talk on street photography at Somerset House in London on 27 April.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Damien will also be hosting street photography workshops in association with Sony on 28 and 29 April, as part of World Photo London. <\/p>\n

During the workshops Damien will walk participants through the streets around Somerset House ? helping them spot subjects and identify captivating street scenes using the Sony NEX-7 and a range of Sony lenses.<\/p>\n

‘We’ll be concentrating on what makes a great street picture, and looking at the essential elements required for creating visually arresting images,’ Damien explained. <\/p>\n

‘The groups will be small enough that everyone will get lots of attention, so I can help with technical or creative issues on the spot. <\/p>\n

‘Afterwards we’ll have time to discuss our successes and how the less brilliant images could have been improved. They will be fun and informative mornings, and I’m really looking forward to them.’<\/p>\n

AP readers can win the opportunity<\/a> to attend one of the workshops.<\/p>\n

For the chance of a free workshop place, on either Saturday 28 10am-12noon or Sunday 29 April 10am-1pm, visit the gallery HERE<\/a> and upload a photo that demonstrates an interest in street photography. <\/p>\n

Twelve winners will be chosen to attend one of the workshops.<\/p>\n

The competition closes on Sunday 22 April. <\/p>\n

Winners will be contacted no later than Wednesday 25 April.<\/p>\n

If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to a message or email within 24 hours, another winner will be chosen.<\/p>\n

Please note, to enter you must be available to attend the workshop on either Saturday 28 (10am-12noon) or Sunday 29 (10am-1pm) April at Somerset House in London.<\/p>\n
