{"id":13937,"date":"2012-02-13T15:21:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-13T15:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amateurphotographer.co.uk\/uncategorized\/olympus-om-d-to-get-super-fast-voigtlander-nokton-lens-13937"},"modified":"2014-09-02T14:44:22","modified_gmt":"2014-09-02T13:44:22","slug":"olympus-om-d-to-get-super-fast-voigtlander-nokton-lens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/latest\/photo-news\/olympus-om-d-to-get-super-fast-voigtlander-nokton-lens\/","title":{"rendered":"Olympus OM-D to get super fast Voigtl\u00e4nder Nokton lens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YOKOHAMA &#8211; Voigtl\u00e4nder has unveiled an f\/0.95 aperture 17.5mm Nokton lens designed for micro four thirds cameras.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to go on sale this spring, the lens was attached to the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 on Voigtl\u00e4nder&#8217;s stand at the CP+ Camera &amp; Photo Imaging show in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Set to cost 118,000 Japanese yen (approx. \u00a31,000), the manual focus lens will be more expensive than most micro four thirds cameras, except for the OM-D itself. <\/p>\n<p>Finished in black, and with an included lens hood, it will feature a minimum aperture of f\/16, a closest focus distance of 0.15m and will weigh 540g. <\/p>\n<p>The new lens will measure 63.6x80mm and be compatible with a 58mm filter thread.<\/p>\n<p>As the micro four thirds sensor attracts a 2x magnification factor the lens will provide the same shooting angles as one would expect from a 35mm lens on a full frame camera. <\/p>\n<p>Voigtl\u00e4nder also showed its new 20mm f\/3.5 Color Skopar, 40mm f\/2 Ultron and 58mm f\/1.4 Nokton lenses designed for Nikon Ai-S and Canon EF bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Voigtl\u00e4nder did not give any availability dates, but has released price guides in Yen: 58,000 (Ai-S) and 61,000 (EF) (expect around \u00a3500) for the Color Skopar, 53,000 (Ai-S) and 56,000 (EF) for the Ultron, and a Nikon-only price of 53,000 Yen (\u00a3450) for the Nokton. At the time of writing there were around 120 Yen to the pound. <\/p>\n<p>Carl Zeiss also showed a 25mm f\/2 T* Distagon in ZE and ZF.2 fits, both of which were priced at Y160,000 (roughly \u00a31,350).
