It\u2019s also revised its FTZ mount adapter for using F-mount SLR lenses on Z-mount mirrorless bodies.<\/p>\n\t\t<div  class=\"c-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 620px\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z100-400_4.5-5.6_top_angle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"156024\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z100-400_4.5-5.6_top_angle-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption__text\">The Nikon Nikkor Z 100-400mm f\/4.5-5.6 VR S features a small status display on top of the barrel<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<p>First up, the <strong>Nikkor Z 100-400mm f\/4.5-5.6 VR S<\/strong> is a long telephoto zoom for sports, action and wildlife shooting. It employs an extending zoom mechanism with a 90\u00b0 twist of the zoom ring required between the 100 and 400mm positions. The minimum focus distance ranges from 75cm to 98cm, making this an interesting option for close-up shooting. A focus limiter switch allows the AF range to be restricted between 3m and infinity to minimise any risk of hunting.<\/p>\n\t\t<div  class=\"c-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 620px\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z6II_100-400_4.5-5.6_front34.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"156025\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z6II_100-400_4.5-5.6_front34-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption__text\">Nikon Nikkor Z 100-400mm f\/4.5-5.6 VR S on the Nikon Z6 II<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<p>Physically the lens shares many of the high-end design features we previously saw on the 70-200mm f\/2.8 S, including a top-plate display for viewing aperture, focus distance and focal length information. Customisable L-Fn1 and L Fn-2 buttons are provided, along with a silent control ring for changing exposure settings.<\/p>\n<p>The lens is also extensively weather-sealed, boasts a fluorine coating on the front element to repel raindrops, and has a rotating tripod mount with a removable foot. It\u2019s due on sale in November for <strong>\u00a32699.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t<div  class=\"c-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 620px\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z24-120_4_angle.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"156021\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-Z24-120_4_angle-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption__text\">Nikon Nikkor Z 24-120mm f\/4 S<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<p>The second optic, the <strong>Nikkor Z 24-120mm f\/4 S<\/strong>, is a general-purpose standard zoom that should be ideal for everyday use. It also boasts a control dial and an L-Fn button, along with weather-sealed construction. Its minimum focus distance of just 35cm affords a maximum magnification of 0.39x, and Nikon says there\u2019s virtually no focus breathing or focus shift on zooming. It\u2019ll cost <strong>\u00a31099<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t<div  class=\"c-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 620px\">\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-FTZII.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"156023\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Nikon-FTZII-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption__text\">Nikon FTZ II mount adapter<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<p>Last but not least, the <strong>FTZ II<\/strong> mount adapter offers improved ergonomics, thanks to a sleeker design that eliminates the tripod-mount protrusion underneath. It doesn\u2019t, however, bring any new functionality.
