Last year it had a record-breaking year, with over 10,000 entries submitted from over 70 countries. One of the most acclaimed aspects of the competition is the diversity and breadth of food photography and film it celebrates. This year the awards have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkladyfoodphotographeroftheyear.com\/categories\/\">24 different categories<\/a>, including the Politics of Food, Food Portraiture, Street Food and Food in the Field; with the aim of reflecting the great array of stories and cultures in the world of food.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>total prize pot exceeds more than \u00a312,000<\/strong>, including <strong>\u00a35,000<\/strong> for the Overall Winner, <strong>\u00a31000<\/strong> for the Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year, a<strong> Fujifilm X100V<\/strong> camera for the winner of the Fujifilm Award for Innovation and a <strong>trip to Finland<\/strong> for the winner of The Claire Aho Award for Women Photographers supported by VisitFinland.<\/p>\n\t\t<div id=&quot;attachment_159374&quot;  class=\"c-caption alignnone\" style=\"max-width: 1020px\">\n\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"159374\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Overall-Winer-Li-Huaifeng-Taste-Lo-Res.jpg\" alt=\"Overall Winner - Li Huaifeng with Taste\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" \/>\t\t\t<p class=\"c-caption__text\">The overall winner in the 2021 Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year awards was Li Huaifeng (China) with this image, titled Taste<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n<p>Photographs from the competition are seen by millions across the world. Last year\u2019s Awards were covered by over 250 media outlets across more than 50 countries, including BBC News, Forbes, The Times, The Guardian, Corriere della Sera, China Daily, el Mundo, MSN, Amateur Photographer, the Royal Photographic Society, Camera Jabber, delicious magazine, Muy interesante, National Geographic, Tatler, Marie Claire and Rolling Stone.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s global judging panel will be chaired by legendary food photographer, <strong>David Loftus<\/strong>. It is a really important way for me to push myself to see if I can create the best images possible. After all the ways it has benefited me as a photographer, I can&#8217;t imagine not entering!
