Those who identify as female can also enter.<\/p>\n<p>It was <strong>founded in honour of renowned photographer Marilyn Stafford<\/strong> (now aged 96), who currently has the <a href=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/latest\/photo-news\/first-ever-marilyn-stafford-retrospective-opens-161190\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first-ever retrospective exhibition<\/a> of her work in Brighton, England, till 8 May 2022.<\/p>\n<h3>Free to enter<\/h3>\n<p>The international award is <strong>free to enter and applicants can be living and working anywhere across the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>prize will go towards the completion of a compelling and cohesive documentary photo essay, which addresses an important social, environmental, economic or cultural issue<\/strong>, whether local or global.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Marilyn Stafford FotoReportage Award is facilitated by FotoDocument<\/strong> \u2013 a not-for-profit arts education social enterprise that aims to bring visibility to positive social and environmental initiatives around the world through storytelling.<\/p>\n\t\t<div id=&quot;attachment_161870&quot;  class=\"c-caption aligncenter\" style=\"max-width: 1020px\">\n\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"161870\" src=\"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Isadora-Romero.jpg\" alt=\"Marcela Quintana is an undergraduate student doing her thesis on cedar research at the National Department of Plant Genetic Resources (DENAREF).
