Police believe that a photographer who was last week convicted of child abuse against young girls during the 1980s may have abused others and have appealed for them to come forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Photographer David Trainer, 56, was convicted of sexual assault against girls aged as young as six, at his flat and swimming baths in the Brixton area of London.<\/p>\n

Trainer?s documentary photos have been displayed at exhibitions in London, including one at the Tate.<\/p>\n

The photographer (pictured), from Lambeth, was sentenced to eight years in prison and made to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.<\/p>\n

DC Kevin Snow said: ?This was an extremely difficult case and I commend the victims for their resolve and fortitude throughout the investigation and subsequent trial.<\/p>\n

?It is hoped this verdict will send out a strong message to offenders that the Metropolitan Police will pursue allegations no matter how long ago the incidents occurred.?<\/p>\n

People who believe they may have been victims are urged to call the Lambeth Child Abuse Investigation Team on 020 7232 6397. <\/p>\n
