The MCC and Wisden Cricketer?s Almanack<\/em> have launched an annual Cricket Photograph of the Year Competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pictures must have been captured between 1 January and 31 December 2010, so if you are quick there is still time to head down under to catch action from the Ashes clash over Christmas.<\/p>\n

The contest is open to amateur and professional photographers and run in association with UK retailer Park Cameras.<\/p>\n

?The chosen images will best capture the drama, spirit or essence of cricket, wherever in the world it is played, watched or experienced,? say organisers.<\/p>\n

Each entrant can submit up to three photos and there is no restriction on subject matter, provided they carry a cricketing theme.<\/p>\n

Up for grabs to the winner is \u00a3500 cash and a \u00a3500 Park Cameras voucher to spend on Canon equipment.<\/p>\n

Shorlisted entries will go on show at Lord?s Cricket Ground.<\/p>\n

Photos taken by the winner and two runners-up will appear in the colour section of Wisden 2011<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The closing date is 17 January 2011.<\/p>\n
