Brought in to run alongside, rather than replace, the existing smc DA 35mm f\/2.8 macro lens from the KB Limited Edition range, the new lens is very slightly smaller, but at 124g is significantly lighter, than the 215g macro-enabled current 35mm model. <\/p>\n<p>Designed with 6 elements in 5 groups, and featuring a minimum aperture of f\/22 the new optic will allow focusing down to 0.3m with a maximum magnification of 0.17x. Without the aperture ring of some of the company?s other fixed focal length lenses, this new 35mm requires a K-mount body with built-in diaphragm control.
