The Dutch company behind the revival of traditional Polaroid-style instant film has hit out after Polaroid revealed a new camera that will not work with the film.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2008, Impossible B.V acquired Polaroid’s production plant in Amsterdam and started making film for Polaroid’s instant film cameras. It went on sale last month.<\/p>\n

Last week Polaroid announced the 300, a camera that only prints out ‘business card’-sized instant prints after striking a new partnership with Fujifilm. <\/p>\n

The Polaroid 300 is based on the Fuji Instax camera but does not accept traditional Polaroid 600 film.<\/p>\n

The move has sparked anger from bosses at the Dutch-based Impossible Project who expected Polaroid to launch a new version of the Polaroid 1000 after its showcase at CES in January. Polaroid 1000 cameras will accept the 600-type film produced by the Impossible Project.<\/p>\n

A spokeswoman for Impossible B.V said: ?The management of the Impossible Project finds this confusing and clearly wants to state that the Polaroid 300 is not the camera that has been announced in Polaroid?s press release from January 7 2010.?<\/p>\n

A spokesman for Polaroid had yet to comment at the time of writing.<\/p>\n
