AP would like to clarify that the news story relating to an interview with Olympus USA DSLR product manager Richard S. Pelkowski in no way suggested that the company’s E system of Four Thirds cameras will not continue in the future. The article simply reported that Mr Pelkowski told AP that he expects that in about two years time E system cameras will not use a mirror system. <\/p>\n

AP is issuing this clarification is response to some confusion concerning the article’s contents, and suggestions that Mr Pelkowski’s comments in a meeting on the Olympus stand at the PMA show with Amateur Photographer editor Damien Demolder and technical editor Angela Nicholson had been misinterpreted. <\/p>\n

AP is waiting for an official comment from Olympus on the question of whether MR Pelkowski’s expectations accurately reflect the future direction of the E system.<\/p>\n
