Police have issued advice to photographers<\/a> who are considering taking pictures in the City of London amid suspicions<\/a> they may be involved in terrorist activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a statement released to Amateur Photographer<\/em> this afternoon, City of London Police said: ‘Photographers should carry identification where possible and be prepared to answer questions about why they are taking photographs, if they are asked.’<\/p>\n

The advice adds: ‘Police and security officers have a duty to protect the public and the City of London has traditionally been a high-profile target for terrorists.’<\/p>\n

The police issued the statement in response to a request by Amateur Photographer<\/em> magazine following recent reports of photographers triggering security concerns in the Square Mile.<\/p>\n
