{"id":24200,"date":"2009-03-23T10:47:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-23T10:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amateurphotographer.co.uk\/uncategorized\/sony-honours-photographer-riboud-with-lifetime-award-24200"},"modified":"2016-09-02T09:42:44","modified_gmt":"2016-09-02T08:42:44","slug":"sony-honours-photographer-riboud-with-lifetime-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/latest\/photo-news\/sony-honours-photographer-riboud-with-lifetime-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Sony honours photographer Riboud with lifetime award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Renowned French photojournalist Marc Riboud is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award next month.<\/p>\n<p>The former Magnum Photos president (pictured) will receive the honour in Cannes, France on 16 April as part of the annual Sony World Photography Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The accolade was set up to honour a photographer for a &#8216;lifetime of widely recognised and critically acclaimed work&#8217;, according to a Sony spokesman.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the accolade, fellow photography legend and close friend Elliott Erwitt said: &#8216;A lifetime achievement award may imply that a career is over. In the case of Marc, nothing could be further from the truth. Marc continues to live and breathe photography every day.
