{"id":24245,"date":"2009-03-17T14:49:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-17T14:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amateurphotographer.co.uk\/uncategorized\/getty-we-will-pay-amateur-photographers-same-as-pros-24245"},"modified":"2014-10-28T17:13:49","modified_gmt":"2014-10-28T17:13:49","slug":"getty-we-will-pay-amateur-photographers-same-as-pros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/other.kelsey.host\/amateurphotographer\/latest\/photo-news\/getty-we-will-pay-amateur-photographers-same-as-pros\/","title":{"rendered":"Getty: We will pay amateur photographers same as pros"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Getty Images has finally stated that it will pay amateurs the same rates for Flickr Collection images as professional contributors receive for images sourced from elsewhere in the agency&#8217;s archive.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes after <a href=\"http:\/\/amateurphotographer.co.uk\/news\/photographers_fees_from_gettys_flickr_deal_unclear_news_263110.html\" title=\"Getty strikes deal with Flickr\">months of uncertainty<\/a> over whether amateurs contributing to the picture agency, via the Flickr Collection, would end up getting as much as the agency&#8217;s regular professional photographers. <\/p>\n<p>Bridget Russel, Getty Images&#8217; senior director for corporate communications told <em>Amateur Photographer<\/em>: &#8216;To Getty Images, the images we selected for the Flickr Collection are every bit as valuable as our creative stills.
